I am looking for help or a direction to start in. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 3 years old, I was on meds until I was 6 when My mother (who was an extreme Alcoholic) took me off assuming my Epilepsy was gone. 3 Years ago I kept having "dreams" that I was being electricuted ad in the morning would wake up with minimal use of my right side. A friend of mine being worried took me to the ER. Where I was told after some tests that I had had seizures. He said I would need to contact a doctor and take more in depth testing in order to get a solid diagnosis. He also said the tests are upwards of 10k because I will need to undergo sleep testing and other such tests. Of course I do not have the income for that, My children come first and I cut my insurance so my kids could keep theres. So the last 3 years I have just "dealt" with the auras, sensations and seizures, because while the numbness is distracting it is not debilitating. However in the last 3 weeks I have experienced convulsive seizures and in waking hours. I have had 2 such events in 3 weeks and one my oldest son had to witness with noone else around to help him. I am at the point now where I know I need to get the testing done so I can get medication for my seizures, but I really cannot afford the bill or the up front costs, is anyone aware of a company or something that can help? I have looked into state public insurance and my income is 102 dollars over guidline, Epilepsy does not qualify for mental health insurance, I applied for dissability but (while they found through their tests that I was having seizures) I have not had enough treatment to qualify. So I am left again to just live with these episodes. I don't want to continue to subject my children to these, and it is begining to affect my photography as I constantly shake. Please help.

Comment on: I need help paying a medical bill.

I gave birth to my 4th Son 4 years ago, When i got my bill I almost ended up in the hospital from a heartattack! Sooo I asked for an itemized list and about freaked, They had charged me 22.00 for witch hazel pads...BTW someone had accidently left the hospitals price tag on them and it was only 3.99. I took the list and what containers I could salvage that still had tags on them and went to the billing department with them. Before giving brth I asked that the C-section kit be removed from the room previous to my arrival, They put the kit in the hallway out side the door. I never needed it (and honestly I would have been moved to OR if I had needed it) I was billed for the kit a whopping 300.00! I confronted billing on this practice as well. By the time I wash finished working my way down the list, I owed 700.00 less. Hospitals screw you. Because they know you NEED to be there when youre there, you don't have a choice but to pay...What has happened to our hospitals...greedy bastards.
